SwaRas is a spiritual initiative founded by Swarupa Daamodar Das, a world renowned bhajan and kirtan singer in ISKCON and Breejraj Sharrma, a Dubai based entrepreneur.
The musical journey of Swarupa Daamodar Das began in 1992 under the compassionate guidance of his spiritual master. His passion for music has grown with him over the past 3 decades, making him a world-renowned singer in ISKCON. Coming from a completely non-musical background, he is a classic example of the sheer mercy of Guru and Krishna. His deep love for music was compassionately dovetailed in the service of the Lord by his spiritual master HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj in the year 1992.
Swarupa Daamodar Das is a world-renowned bhajan and kirtan singer in ISKCON. His passion for music has grown with him over the past 3 decades since he began his journey as a devotee of the Hare Krishna movement. Coming from a completely non-musical background he is a classic example of the sheer mercy of Guru and Krishna. Now the mission of his life is to give the nectar of the Holy Name to the entire world through the medium of Kirtans.
At SwaRas Music and Arts Academy, our primary goal is to bring the art of singing kirtan to one and all. As per many of our vedic scriptures, the highest and the purest of all activities in this dark and fallen age of Kaliyuga is to engage our mind and senses in performing the Yuga Dharma Harinam Sankirtan. The Yugavatar Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is none other than Supreme Bhagvan Sri Krishna Himself inaugurated the Harinam Sankirtan movement more than 500 years ago in Mayapur, West Bengal, India. Thus He travelled all over the country encouraging each and every soul He met to participate in the Yuga Dharma. Taking further His mission following in the footsteps of the previous acharyas of the Gaudiya Madhava Sampradaya, HDG A.C. Bhaktivendanta Swami Srila Prabhupada spread the Harinam Sankirtan movement all over the world.
At SwaRas our mission is to teach the art of kirtan in accordance with the teachings of our divine acharyas. Everyone who joins our academy will get a deep and profound experience of personally relishing the Nectar of Chanting the Holy Names.
